We want to build a group of people across the organisation who will help increase the police’s understanding of our diverse communities. Alongside our culture and representative workforce we will look to build confidence in our diverse communities and encourage them to see Avon and Somerset Police as their employer of choice.

What’s involved?

To support and engage when organising police events and providing input from the community.

To act as a conduit to help build new links within the community.

Helping us engage at community events - fairs, festivals, carnivals etc.

To reach out to universities, colleges, schools and community events.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary is fully committed to the safeguarding and promotion of welfare of children and young people.  The role you have applied for requires you to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS).
