Would you like to work in a small team of police offender managers in collaboration with key partners (Probation Services, Health Services and Local Authorities) to reduce the demand and harm caused by a cohort of high demand and/or high harm Offenders as part of the Northern IMPACT Team?

By supporting our team you could help reduce the harm and demand in the community caused by prolific offenders. As a team we seek to identify long term solutions to reduce reoffending and reduce the harm caused to victims of crime by working in partnership with other agencies. 

 

In this role, your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Ensuring data quality, accuracy and security across police systems and multiple data sources and to disseminate appropriately, supporting best practice in the effective management of the IOM (Integrated Offender Management) cohort.
  • Enter information onto the violent and sex offenders’ database, ensuring accuracy, integrity and security of data for effective management of the IOM cohort.
  • Administer and co-ordinate meetings for IOM (excluding MAPPA & ViSOR) to ensure that cases are reviewed in line with agreed process and that any specialist attendees are present, including recording and tracking agreed actions.
  • Be a point of contact and to answer telephone calls, incoming post, e-mails, promptly and efficiently, making accurate initial assessments, based on risk and vulnerability, determining the most appropriate response and where necessary informing the responsible manager.
  • Provide general business admin to process purchase orders for goods, accommodation and travel and to ensure stationery levels are maintained.

 

Skills, experience and qualifications required: 

  • You must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and databases.
  • Have proven ability to work accurately and under pressure
  • You should have previous administrative experience including minute taking
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • You are ability to collate and effectively disseminate information

 

This is a parental leave cover vacancy and could last for up to 12 months.

To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
