Have you got experience of working within a safeguarding environment? Do you have the ability to remain objective, impartial, resilient and assertive to achieve outcomes?

 

This role is responsible for providing a consistent attendance at multiagency safeguarding meetings where discussion regarding safety planning, safeguarding investigations and a multi-agency approach to reducing risk and vulnerability.

The role will require close working with operational staff within the victims and safeguarding hubs, alongside closer working and information sharing with key stakeholders.

 

Main Responsibilities:  

 

  • Represent the view of the constabulary at multi agency strategy meetings to ensure that appropriate actions are undertaken and measures are in place to safeguard vulnerable people.
  • To chair as required multi agency meetings, representing the constabulary’s assessment of safeguarding needs of vulnerable adults and children.
  • To receive, assess and decide on the level of disclosure of information required to be released under the appropriate legislation and/or policy
  • Develop and improve processes
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies.
  • Contribute to relevant strategic reports and reviews as appropriate maintaining quality assurance within the unit.
  • Ensure that information for multi-agency meetings is recorded and updated in line with legal requirements and force policy.

 

Experience and Qualifications:  

 

  • Ability to demonstrate an operational level understanding of Safeguarding and Victim   Care legislation and multi-agency working practices.
  • Experience of completing complex risk assessment and applying risk management strategies.
  • Experience of working with multi-agency partners for the risk and safeguarding management of vulnerable people.
  • Experience of chairing and participating in multi-agency meetings to represent the views of your organisation.
  • Experience of collating accurate information and producing complex and concise written documentation in a timely manner.
  • Experience of developing and managing your own workload with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in order to achieve deadlines.
  • An   ability to remain objective, impartial, resilient and assertive to achieve outcomes.
