£33,732 - £36,369
Are you creative, analytically-minded and motivated by problem solving?
We have a number of exciting opportunities for experienced and motivated Business Analysts to support change and improvement activity across the organisation.
You will work as part of a network of Business Analysts who work on a varied and stimulating range of assignments. The portfolio currently includes activity aligned with Avon and Somerset Police’s four key strategies: Service, People, Infrastructure and Digital.
In terms of technical skills, we are looking for candidates who can understand and analyse complex business problems, so you must be expert at working with both quantitative and qualitative data and using a range of IT software. You will know how to effectively identify, document and verify business requirements. You will be able to draw upon your previous experience of business analysis in a large and complex organisation, to deploy the right tools and methodologies for the right assignment.
What is equally as important as technical skills, is your approach to your work. You will be innovative, communicative and collaborative in your approach to every problem. You will be able to work confidently with colleagues from across the business and from a wide range of disciplines. You will design and facilitate workshops to bring stakeholders together to problem-solve, identify opportunities for improvement and co-create solutions. You will be skilled in the presentation of information and data in a way that is clear and understandable to a range of audiences, helps to contextualise problems and supports effective decision making. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a public sector organisation that is delivering large scale change and improvement to achieve its vision of becoming an outstanding Police Force.
This role will be largely based at Headquarters in Portishead (with secure parking and on-site facilities) but the ability to travel freely around the force area will be required. We provide the ability to work remotely and flexibly, and in light of the current COVID-19 situation most staff are currently home working. We will have a mixture of permanent, temporary and maternity cover roles available over the coming months.
To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
