We are looking for someone to join our newly created Workforce Planning function as an Establishment Control Supervisor. Great workforce planning is key for us to deliver Avon and Somerset’s vision of outstanding policing to the communities we serve.

Do you have experience of working in an customer focussed establishment control environment and and are you looking for a fresh challenge within an organisation that can provide you with the opportunity to utilise and broaden your experience?

This new and exciting role will manage a small team to ensure the quality of our people data in systems, to influence structure.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner for Workforce Planning you will be supporting leaders across the organisation to ensure their establishment is up to date and accurate at all times, by ensuring the correct application of establishment protocols and guidelines are adhered to.

You will oversee compliance, ensuring agreed KPIs and SLAs are achieved, and provide subject matter advice and guidance to colleagues across the business on process and procedure.

 In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Management of a small team of Establishment Control Team experts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure control protocol is adhered to
  • Design and deliver streamlined establishment control processes to ensure accuracy of data
  • Lead in the development and design of systems and processes to ensure data is accurate and organisational requirements are met

Skills, experience and qualifications required:

  • Experience of working within an organisation management and/or establishment environment and of delivering customer focused services.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft office IT packages
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Additional information:

Blended Working/ Hybrid Working

Avon and Somerset Police encourage flexible working where operationally possible.
This role has been identified as a blended role.
The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises. The successful applicant will have the option to discuss working arrangements with their line manager. All applicants must reside within the UK.
