Are you an organised, accurate and proactive person with experience of working in administration? Do you have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well both on your own and as part of a team? If so we are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant based at Patchway Police Centre.

Your role will include:

  • Receiving and accurately processing invoices for payment
  • Providing excellent customer service and building good working relationships with customers
  • Pro-actively managing workcycles to ensure prompt payment of invoices
  • Supporting other team members and working well as a team

What do you need?

  • Experience of working in an administration function preferably in a complex multi-functional organisation. 
  • Experience of using IT systems, including MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer relation skills to liaise with suppliers, internal and external customers both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in accurate data extraction and input.

Blended Working/ Hybrid Working

Avon and Somerset Police encourage flexible working where operationally possible.
This role has been identified as a blended role.
The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises. The successful applicant will have the option to discuss working arrangements with their line manager. All applicants must reside within the UK.
