We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled administrator to join our Criminal Justice Department as a Case Progression Administrator.

Our Case Progression Administrators provide a high quality service to customers both internal and external to our organisation, ensuring accurate information is shared , in particular with the Crown Prosecution Service and Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunal Service, which contributes to bringing offenders to justice.

You will be part of a pro-active and dynamic department that completes a multitude of administrative support functions. The role puts you at the centre of getting justice for victims of crime. Each day is never the same, and priorities change in line with the workload being tasked into the department. 

We are the administrative engine room for Case Progression, ensuring court files are dealt with in an effective and timely manner. We support Police officers to ensure that the case files are prepared in line with the National file standard. We raise court dates for cases, send the digital case material to our partner agencies, and work to any time-lines that are set out. The victim is at the centre of what we do, and we aim to provide the highest possible service to the victims of the cases we process.

In this role your main responsibilities will be:

• Maintaining, creating and updating records on a variety of computerised databases and manual systems.
• Responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders, corresponding both verbally and in writing in compliance with legislation and force guidance.
• Performing general administrative duties including, dealing with all incoming post, to ensure it is actioned correctly in accordance with GDPR.
• Directing and guiding police officers with knowledge relating to the processing of case files for Criminal Justice.
• Identifying problems and proactively solving issues that arise using knowledge of the Criminal Justice process, providing solutions where appropriate.
• Providing statistics to the management team when required.

Skills, experience and qualifications required for the role: 

• Previous office/administrative experience. 
• Skilled computer user with experience of inputting and retrieving data using a computerised database.
• Previous experience of dealing with people both face to face and over the telephone.
• Previous experience of working to guidelines and procedures.
• High attention to detail.

In this role you will mainly work Monday to Friday but will be required to work 1 in 11 Saturdays for which you will receive an additional payment for. 

To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
