Are you looking for a new challenge where no two days are the same and you can make a real difference?

We have three posts available for the role of Service Support Advisor within our Service Management Team.

You will provide service support and operational service to the IT Directorate and Avon and Somerset Constabulary.

You will need to multi-task on a wide range of activities to be progressed simultaneously, combining methodical and analytical abilities with a people-focussed approach in order to assist the Service Management Team to drive forward continuous service improvement within the IT Directorate.

In this role your Main Responsibilities will be:-

  • Administering, collating and reporting on IT Directorate Service Delivery activities with the use of all standard procedures and Information Technology Infrastructure Library processes.
  • To maintain the problem, change and incident registers ensuring issues are escalated to appropriate managers within service level agreements.
  • Monitoring and working with internal and external supplier services, administering and maintaining service catalogues and assuring Service Transition into the IT Directorate.
  • Undertaking developmental or remedial actions as directed in response to reviews or organisational feedback.
  • Supporting the strategy of the IT Directorate contributing to the overall strategy and vision of the organisation.
  • Working within a designated team and across virtual teams as necessary.
  • Promoting an outstanding service to our customers, corresponding via email, telephone and written communication, dealing with customer satisfaction reviews with an agreed range of performance outcomes.
  • Proactively seeking continual service improvement driving out inefficiencies across the IT Directorate.
  • Ensuring the compliance of accurate record keeping, administration and documentation ensuring the maintenance of records as required and activities that are deemed to be a central requirement of the IT Directorate.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:-  

  • Experience in a service delivery environment ideally delivering Information Technology Infrastructure Library type processes and procedures although training will be given if required.
  • Strong administration skills and experience, comfortable working with staff and suppliers alike.
  • Experience of chairing meetings and forums across a number of levels within an organisation.
  • A good multi-tasker who can switch effortlessly from one task to another as priorities change and meet the deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, organised and methodical with attention to detail.
