Do you want to work within a close, friendly team and manage your own workloads?
In this role you will be responsible for obtaining statements and evidence required to make a prosecution successful and to ensure individuals are supported through the life of a prosecution’s case. You will also be editing and preparing audio and video evidence.
Every individual that works for us, is in some way supporting and serving the community we represent, we simply could not do the jobs we do without them. This is a key role working with victims and witnesses to ensure they have a voice in the criminal justice system.
 
In this role, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Interview witnesses and obtain statements using technical equipment as necessary.
  • Assist with the collection, handling and maintaining of the continuity and integrity of exhibits.
  • Compile written reports and statements of evidence.
  • Assist in the preparation of prosecution or other evidential files for the Crown Prosecution Service, Coroner or other relevant authority.
  • Update manual and computer records.
     

Skills, experience and qualifications required:

  • Good working knowledge of using a computer including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Prosecution files (for example content, format, relevant legislation)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Have experience of composing reports and taking statements
  • Proven ability of communicating effectively both orally and in writing
     
     
    To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
