Are you passionate about upholding ethical standards? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a desire to support decision-making processes within the Avon and Somerset Police area? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference as an Ethics Committee Admin Support Volunteer.

As an integral part of our team, you will assist in the vital administrative tasks that ensure our ethics committee operates smoothly and effectively. Ideally, you should be able to offer approximately 2-3 hours a week of administration and be available to attend the Ethics committee meetings on a Wednesday morning every 2 weeks.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Requesting ethical dilemmas
  • Updating membership lists
  • Scheduling meetings and coordinating agendas
  • Taking minutes during committee meetings and preparing accurate summaries
  • Maintaining a tracker of ethical dilemmas on Excel
  • Monitoring the #ASC Ethics Committee mailbox
  • Administering and maintaining the Ethics Committee Team Room and Pocketbook

     This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the ethical considerations that shape decision-making across the Avon and Somerset Police area. It's a chance to be part of a dedicated team committed to promoting ethical conduct and fostering trust within our organisation and communities.

    As a Police Support Volunteer, Avon and Somerset Police will reimburse you for out-of-pocket expenses that you incur while volunteering for us.
