Could you make a difference and help shape a diverse representative workforce within Avon and Somerset Constabulary?

The Black Police Association (BPA) are looking for volunteers who are keen to join our organisation, you will be out and about at events, community engagement meetings and recruitment days, engaging with people ensuring our BaME communities we serve have an awareness, a better understanding and the trust and confidence of their local Police Service.

We care about each other, the public and the service we offer. Join us and be a community champion and an ambassador for our organisation, encourage others to be inspired and let their voice be heard.

In return we will provide you with an environment to learn about roles within policing. We will coach and mentor you to learn new skills such as public talking to groups in the community, we will use your existing life skills, putting them into practical use. Our objective is to support the public we serve and those we work alongside.

As a volunteer you will make a real positive impact on your local community.

Eligibility

You need to be 16 years of age and over  to apply.

All applicants will be subject to the Force Vetting Policy and will be required to undertake and maintain the appropriate level of safeguarding training for the role.

  • Full employment history including dates and any qualifications you may have attained

If the role requires you to drive you will also be required to upload details from your full driving licence including photos.
