The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) are looking to appointment maternity cover for a Commissioning and Policy Officer to join an innovative and ambitious team to support a wide range of commissioning and policy work.
The main focus of the role will be the OPCC’s work to support victims of crime and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) including contract/grant management, working with service providers, liaising with national agencies, collaborating with other commissioners and maintaining oversight of the Constabulary.
Beyond this, you will work alongside and support the wider Commissioning and Partnerships Team which covers a range of portfolios including the commissioning of services for offenders, scrutiny of police and criminal justice performance, partnership working and much more.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have an aptitude in commissioning, scrutiny work, undertaking research and providing advice, developing initiatives and preparing briefing documents. You will be confident, innovative and flexible with excellent strategic and communication skills.
