Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) can sometimes be thought of as low level crime, however it can have that ‘drip effect’ upon people’s lives, and can result in extreme consequences. 

We are looking for two resilient and adaptable individuals to join us as Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinators.

In this role you will work in collaboration with several neighbourhood teams and partner agencies across Avon and Somerset, to improve awareness, provide support and solutions in order to reduce anti-social behaviour and improve community relationships. Every day brings different challenges, you could be meeting with a perpetrator, discussing their behaviour and taking action to improve this, to spending the day in the Court.

The main purpose of your role will be to oversee the support of all activity in relation to anti-social behaviour, providing a partnership approach including guidance and expertise in relation to incidents, particularly with regard to the perpetrators.

Your main responsibilities will be:

•    Supporting communities and victims of Anti-Social Behaviour by taking action against the perpetrators.
•    Supporting in the facilitation of interagency meetings to consider, monitor and implement relevant ASB tools and powers.
•    Working with staff within the relevant Area and their partner agencies to ensure a co-ordinated response in dealing with anti-social behaviour, making appropriate decisions regarding enforcement, interventions and referrals.
•    Supervising and managing the police staff within the Anti-Social Behaviour teams.
•    Working with Anti-Social Behaviour teams from other Areas to ensure best practice is shared and absences are supported through inter-operability.

Skills and experience required:

•    Skilled computer user.
•    Good verbal and written communication skills.
•    Significant supervisory experience.
•    Experience of report writing.
•    Experience of working with multi-agency partnerships.
•    Experience of evaluating information and making reasonable decisions.

Additional Information
You should ideally hold a full current driving licence or be able to travel around the force area using alternative transport.

To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
