Do you want to be part of a small team working together to tackle anti-social behaviour within your community?

We have an exciting opportunity for an Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Support Officer to join Avon and Somerset Police.

You will be a key member of a team that supports local neighbourhood policing and partner agencies in identifying appropriate interventions on a case by case basis, in order to disrupt and dissuade individuals from acting in an anti-social manner.  

In this role you will provide administrative support to the Anti-Social Behaviour Co-Ordinator, including arranging and attending multi-agency anti-social behaviour case meetings, taking meeting minutes, researching and updating databases, distributing relevant information and producing reports relating to anti-social behaviour.

In this role your Main Responsibilities will be:

  • Managing and exchanging relevant information with partner agencies in line with current legislation
  • Supporting the management of perpetrators of anti-social behaviour by reviewing appropriate courses of action and preparing relevant documentation
  • Managing and updating databases including inputting and extracting data
  • Supporting Officers in liaising with members of the public and witnesses in relation to anti-social behaviour incidents
  • Carrying out duties consistent with the role as and when required under the instruction of the Anti-Social Behaviour Co-Ordinator

 Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate information both verbally and in writing
  • Skilled computer user with knowledge of databases and spreadsheets including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience of working with multi agency partners, exchanging information and making reasoned decisions
  • Experience of dealing with individuals and challenging behaviour
  • Experience of scheduling meetings and minute taking
  • Knowledge of anti-social behaviour tools and powers would be advantageous

To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.

Blended Working/ Hybrid Working

Avon and Somerset Police encourage flexible working where operationally possible.
This role has been identified as a blended role.
The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises. The successful applicant will have the option to discuss working arrangements with their line manager. All applicants must reside within the UK.
